New artheads collaborator Gareth Phillips…
We are delighted to present a new front page for our Bare Threads website. We have been lucky enough to have Gareth Phillips join us as the latest addition to the Bare Threads Artheads group. He is a graphic designer, working across print, online and clothing.
He first worked with us creating online artwork for our digital download of Bare Threads single ‘Weary’.
His latest work for us is an excellent rework of our EP cover. He has created an image map and a series of lovely rollovers that link out to enable visitors to purchase our songs, merchandise and visit our other related site e.g. youtube, facebook. myspace etc.
We are delighted to have had the pleasure of Gareth’s extensive expertise and creativity & look forward to working with him in the future.
You can find out more about him and his work at his blog…
The first installment…
You are warmly invited to join us at Start The Bus, Bristol, on March 7th to celebrate the completion of our Wasted Nights EP and view the brilliant art pieces submitted for the first installment of the ArtHeads collaborative project.
In the last days of 2009 we sent out our first art-heads art brief, with the overall plan being to create an association from the many visual artists we are lucky enough to know and to create from this the visual elements to compliment the music that we’ve been making as Bare Threads.
For the first installment Jack sent out the song titles and the title of the EP itself as inspiration for the brief:
Wasted Nights (the name of the E.P.)
Eyes On Me
Weary
Hold On
Under Your Shoulder
I Forget
Wasted Nights (the names of the songs)
We are delighted that the project has commenced really successfully and as hoped we have seen some really beautiful and exciting collaborative projects emerge. We now begin showcasing these in the best possible way.
We are constantly developing this threads-artheads site and we look forward to exhibiting the work at our Wasted Nights EP launch on March 7th.
We hope you love the work as much as we do and hope you can join us for the exhibition.
Please visit the artist pages to find out more and to see the beautiful work that has been created thus far.
Keep your eyes peeled for more!
